Girodisc Front Caliper Titanium Shims – 2018–2021 Subaru WRX STI
Hard driving and track use create extreme brake temperatures, and one of the most common weak points isn’t the pads or rotors—it’s the brake fluid. Heat transfers from the rotor and pads, through the caliper pistons, and into the fluid. When brake fluid overheats, it can boil and create compressible gas, which often feels like a soft pedal or a pedal that drops farther than normal.
These Girodisc titanium caliper shims help reduce that heat transfer by acting as a thermal barrier between the pad backing plate and the caliper pistons.
How It Works
A thin titanium shim installs between the brake pad backing plate and the piston face. Titanium has very low thermal conductivity compared to common metals, meaning it transfers far less heat into the pistons and brake fluid.

Orders over $500 will ship insured and over $1,000 with signature and insurance in order to guarantee delivery. Orders over $1000 may not be able to ship to a different address not listed as the billing address or confirm payment address from the form of payment used. Orders with suite numbers, different billing, or apartment numbers will require signature if valued over $200.
All international orders outside of the USA are subject to duties and taxes fees per your countries jurisdiction and determined by customs.

Processing and logistics on in stock international orders will take up to 7 business days to process & ship as sometimes we only have 1 international pickup a week.
In stock, non pre-orders or special order items can be returned within 30 days of the product arriving to your house or place of work.
Returns will NOT be accepted on Clearance Items, Final Sales, Special Orders, Pre-Orders, Opened, Installed, Incomplete, or Otherwise Used Products. In order to initiate a return, an RMA number must be requested and approved via e-mail. All returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee minus complete shipping cost (roundtrip).
Any loan orders will have a 10% cancelation fee to cover the loan processing fees or 3rd party merchant fees. No fee will be incurred if used as store credit.
